Digitized this design and then free -motioned around whole design, the block has some texture, I like that
an attempt at free motion using 4 hearts... these were a little smoother than the hearts on my quilt a long
one of the blocks in my boy baby quilt... for some reason, not all of my photos transfered...so I will have to go back in and scan the photo of the whole quilt, but it did get finished and I will be moving on..... would like to do the micro stippling today on my little quilt from the quilt -along.

Was hoping to have blanket finished today... I need to put the backing on and quilt...I did get borders finished. I have been working on digitizing designs in my new software program today...didn't mean to lose so much of the day...started texting with a friend and then started playing with software. I made a steer...haha and it stitched out! Go Me!

Oh my gosh... this is the back of my little quilt. My circular movement got better by the end... the feathers... honestly, I need to do another one I think,  and try maybe the bump method. I actually did better stitching the upper left side of the feathers, than the bottom left moving up. I need a lot more practice, not 100% happy with it so far, but am hoping the micro work will have things not be so noticable. Enjoyed it a lot, so I know it is something I will stick too and try again. I have trouble thinking through the pattern as stitching so I don't have to travel stitch so much.. I can do it on paper, but then as I sit to stitch.. it's like I freeze. Will keep trying. My back is a solid yellow, the front a yellow moddeled fabric.
Well, the last few days have been very busy at our house. My son is gearing up for his travel baseball season... Both my husband and I volunteer and finding time to sit in my sewing room is hard!

I did work on finishing all the applique work on my baby boy blanket.  Overall it got better, but as I first started... using the foot  and satin stitching... things were not working out at all! Like the flower above... the alligator turned out much better when I switched to a blanket/applique stitch. I am going to try to touch the flower up as I quilt the layers together. Today I hope to add borders and back and I will share finished project.

I was really stiff in my neck and shoulders from all that sewing yesterday... I really should learn to take a few breaks in between!  I got outdoors last night after some yoga and stretches and I can sure feel it in my abs this morning!!  :)

Today will be chores, workout, laundry, shower......  and hoping to finish all applique work on my blocks. Off to the Doctor this afternoon... wish I had a crockpot dinner ready to go.

Another beautiful 80*s sunny day for us! I am Thankful for all I have been given!

Well, I love the little owl quilt... I mean, really who doesn't love a chubby little owl? It was made for a cousin's daughter.... My machine went down on me and I am just now catching back up with my sewing Oh my... life sure took over! It was made from all polar fleece and it was nice to sew... will see how it washes up...

These are cotton fabrics with lots of applique, basically I wanted to try out the new machine..so I still have a lot of applique work to do on these blocks...fun though!
My quilt a-long..... I can't wait to get started! Still have to pin layers together... Come on first lesson! I chose  Moda fabric.. light colored to help me out with tracing.... but I all ready have some purple in my stash that will be next!
Good Morning! The weather is un-seasonably warm here.. making it hard to not wander outdoors. I prepped my fabric for the quilt a-long and I am excited to get started. I finished my owl blanket and began another baby blanket for a darling little boy. Will do my best to post pictures this afternoon! Off to get chores finished, some exercise in and get busy sewing!
